Memetic Debris – Enjambement

Children’s personification of inanimate objects compliment their imaginary friend complex and subjects them to being unable to distinguish between reality and fantasy to the point of where even as an adult they cling to an Imaginary attic friend whom they have been conditioned to believe really exists and should be referred to as an almighty omniscient god whom spares no rod to those without faith to worship it’s name and proclaim to all others that they too need to worship this invisible “who” whom they do not have evidence exists yet cite as fact and deny sciences act of studying reality in which no supernatural events have been found to be sound or even remotely possible in a world where respect for nature is being replaced by mans attachment to comfort and his imaginary attic friend who claims to fill in all the gaps to its host’s unknowns and stones all others who do not share the same grand delusion of the idea of a peaceful supernatural deity who curiously allows suffering and peculiarly requires it’s followers to reject reason, logic, and evidence for carefully arranged words in a man made book without proof to support its claims so it remains a spoof to me and all others who think reasonably free from such memetic debris.

  1. its the case of losing the rose colored glasses and Santa…such a sad reality…don’t ya think….

  2. Yes, yes, yes!!!

These are very same ping pong-like escapades my brain goes through everyday about the God I choose to believe in.

I love the…”as an adult they cling to an Imaginary attic friend whom they have been conditioned to believe exists…”

I admit, I am conditioned. History’s culture has conditioned me to currently think and believe in certain things and in certain ways. It’s the constant battle between truth and truth, where the reality of being sure about a certain thing remains a mystery.

Can we be certain of the existence or the non-existence of God (or god)?

    Possibly.

    Or possibly not.

Here’s to our continual search for what is real.

  3. That is one long sentence. I was winded just reading it. I should stop smoking.

But perhaps, just maybe, there are perfectly natural events that are perceived as supernatural simply because we lack the ability to logically reason the cause of it? I can honestly say that my own “friends in the attic” are certainly not the persistence of childhood fantasies or personifications of inanimate objects. Not that I take offense to your ideas…only that I ask you to open your thoughts to the possibility that some do believe for a variety of reasons, and not just because it is perceived as a needed humanitarian response to our sometimes illogical environment.

    Just sayin’

  4. Derrick, Cheers, here’s to following the evidence. So far the evidence has suggested natural causes.

Anok, Oh of course I do agree that there are many other reasons that people do believe in such fantasies, but would you of really wanted that sentence to be any longer? :)

  5. Actually….yes, I would like to see just how long of a sentence you can write, and it still be coherent….ready? GO! *g*

Funny thing is about me though…I was an atheist, and I moved towards Paganism. Weird, aint it? How life takes you through many walks?

  6. Anok, yes indeed it is quite interesting. I have seen people go from atheist to Christian, Christian to atheist, and I’m sure many other people have converted from one belief or non-belief to another. I think it’s okay to change ones mind as long as one simply follows where the evidence takes them. As you discover new evidence, it takes you places, particularly closer to the truth.

Oh, and if you like Enjambements, I have written a couple others you might like:

  7. I was thinking just the other day about the phrase “god made man in his own image.” In reality, the exact opposite is true. Keep up the good work.
