Dreadful words,
every month they went out
threatening the days,
inflicting tortures,
and often laughing,
for having deprived us of the moon.
This poem is an Erasure. Erasure is a process by which you can take any text and from it, create a poem. You do so by erasing words from the existing text, and the words that remain creates your poem. This poem in its raw format is here.

I think I missed the joke empyvessel.
Travis, I kind of like the raw format version myself. The visual it creates, like others of this kind, adds to the enjoyment of the read beyond the words themselves.
I came across the erasures site some time ago but never did much with it. I’m inspired to try it again!
oh, I like raw format myself too… actually, its the artistic format. I should probably reword that in the post.
i tried erasure work in ur version and found it funny. no jokes pal!
and yes the raw format is more (visually) artistic . wavy,…islandish..each word an island by itself yet floating in the space(sea).. the experience is nice. that’s why i ha ha ‘d :-)
Very cool. Thanks for the insights.
