@ver the Wire – Enjambement

However heavy the hyper highway hurries,
worries weight is wired in our wide area networks
security support system of safety nets
backup cassettes cased in concrete closets
data deposits dumped behind firewalled framework
meshwork meticulously networked in nodes
of load balancing overworked workers surfing
server software, pinging protocols plexus
nexus of numbered binary codes crackable
to a few elite hackers and crackers code
crazed clients gaining guest account keys
and tokens spoken between client stations
and host simulations relaying encoded packets
populating the grid gaining unauthorized access
to broadbands backbone linking bridges
interconnected to routers, hubs, repeaters
repeating signals broadcasted over the wire

  1. Wow! Great alliteration and enjambement! It just flows flows flows. Beat poetry for computees
    cool

  2. Glenn, Thank you. This was fun to write as much as it is fun to read especially for us computees. I’m glad you were able to appreciate it. “Enjambement”, ah, believe it or not, I did not know the name of this form. Thanks for educating me. I had to google it – define:Enjambement. :)

Hey Travis, I’m with Glenn on this one. Great use of words and sounds not to mention such a relevant topic to us bloggers. Outstanding!

  4. ah yeah, blogger (as powered by google) is having some database issues, which sort of makes me a little bit concernd as i haven’t backed up most of the poetry that appears on my blog.

great poem. fitting (there was a recent episode of dr who with a villian called “the wire”).

as usual, too, the poem glides past the tongue with ease and fluidity.

  5. Holy, Holy! I have to agree with the others. You are definately wired in this one! Great job. I just spent some time cleaning up another site that hackers hit and it was no fun! Bloggers are also good at spamming…not just poetry!

  6. Bob, I’m glad you could relate to it. I happen to be a computer specialist, so this one came out naturally for me.

Katy, I noticed the blogger website problem while trying to reach many of the blogs that I frequent. I’m thrilled you we able to relate to this poem as well.

Shirly, I use http://akismet.com/ to catch all my blog spam. It has worked perfectly so far, and its a free service.

  7. it was, without a doubt, a very timely piece :)

  8. Why thank you Katy!
