Your rescue efforts are exhausted,
frosted in obfuscation.
Hopeless dead ringers,
deadlocked in animation.
Doubt squeezes your breath,
and suffocates hollow eyes.
Disguised in your grinning face,
lay underground goodbyes
Lost in translation,
and stirred in a maze,
paths leading nowhere,
but endless okays.
Days introverted conversations,
between you and your moods
concludes to a doorstep
prepped for minds skewed.

Hija Travis, I just had a piece of fun with your poem..I reread it and substituted deadlocked for dreadlocked- it gives it a whole nother meaning. Hope you don’t mind the whimsy.
