I color a lot,
Finger painting the trees
in seasonal shades
blended by breeze
I brush the waters,
with bristles blue
and coat the sky
in a airy hue
I roll the land
in lively green.
I sprinkle the flowers
in rich velveteen
I stir glassy fish,
in an opaline ocean
where watercolors collide
by butterflies light motion
I pour the rain,
then a rainbow stroke,
highlighting the sky
in my palettes cloak
I tone your face
I touch every dot
With my spectrums wand,
I color a lot

beautiful !
Thank you Vasanta.
the last stanza is what pulls it all together for me, makes it a love poem instead of just a landscape. am very pleased to have read this, very pleased you wrote it. thank you. ^_^
Katy, I am very pleased you enjoyed it, and appreciate your insight. Yes, I tried to pull it all together at the end. I was actually inspired to write this when my 4 year old son said “I color a lot”. I thought it was catchy. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again.
I Like this, I was in charge of the painting area at playcentre yesterday:-)
Hi Glen, did you get a chance to paint anything at the playcenter yesterday?
