Existence

I welcome change,
for only it is steady and consistent.

I welcome chaos,
for it is particularly persistent.

I welcome death,
as if I had a choice.

I welcome everything,
because I am its voice.

I found this particularly touching. Really. It struck a chord with me, and was so fitting to my personal thoughts right now. Do I have your permission to use this in my “daily dose” (saying) this week (on my sidebar)? Of course with your name and linking to it also?

Very nice…what is that Dylan line, “I accept chaos, I’m not sure if it accepts me”? Something like that…though you’re clearly going somewhere different here….I particularly like “I welcome death, as if I had a choice.” Funny how so many of us don’t welcome it, as if we had a choice.

This poem spoke to me. I love the silence of it.

(I am a mom; chaos is my life.)

Thanks for the post. I’m glad I found your blog.

I’m sure I left a comment here before, humph!

What I said before was, “I like change as long as I get 24 hour notice.”
