Intolerance towards Intolerance

Is he who is intolerant towards intolerance any more justified to be intolerant then the intolerance he is being intolerant towards? Does his intolerance towards intolerance not make him a hypocrite?

Yes, but I think only in the area of pure intellect ~ pure intolerance cannot tolerate itself.

thank for giving me a really interesting think.

Cannot tolerate intolerance because intolerance should not be tolerated. I think.

Kelly I think you’ve missed the quote. It’s a question of morality - are you not being intolerant by not tolerating intolerance ? - therefore how can you be any better, seeing as you are intolerant of something ? You are being what you hate experiencing - this is the irony of the human condition, that we inevitably become exactly what we hate

This is the same as the splinter and plank in the eye verse from the bible.

    - I like the quote - nice one.

SoulMerlin and Kelly, Thank you for your comments.

Jay, You understand the meaning perfectly. Thank you for clarifying it to the readers further. I’m glad you like it.

Thanks jay, that was a nice one. I guess on Kelly’s part i think it’s more of not tolerating “something” that is perceived to be wrong. Intolerance towards intolerance may be discerned hypocritical but you have to make a stand…and that’s choosing the lesser evil..

Intolerant brings about intolerance himself like an old attribute of [un]scientific chr**tianity clergy mischievously generated which, apparently, leads to bash the goodness of living in harmonious reality. Intolerance towards humanity multiplies the number of animals, sadly, inhabiting human bodies!

Oh fello homo, mind not the words of wise monkey ….
