The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins

Today I received the book “The God Delusion” in paperback by Richard Dawkins. It came in the mail from Amazon.com. I ordered it on Dec 30th, and received it today Jan 3rd. The free shipping was fast! I’m looking forward to diving into this.

That is one sexy book you got there! I have the hardcover that’s just silver. Good stuff.

Thanks Heather! I started reading it last night. I love the quote it starts out with by Douglas Adams, “Isn’t it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”

I got this for Christmas (oh the irony). It’s a little dumbed down and Dawkins repeats himself over and over, but I still found it enjoyable. I think Dawkins dumbed it down because his aim is to explain to the slow folk why we don’t need god.

Garg the Unzola’s last blog post..Deicide songs used to torture prisoners in Iraq?

Yes, there were several things that are repeated in the book, but I think that helps people remember the arguments, and I suppose it is a bit dumbed down, but I think that allows it to reach and be understood by more readers.
