So to begin some chase the pursuer gave up their freedom. One cannot be free when they are always chasing after something. Are these interpretations on the correct path? I get it to some degree, but slightly I stay stumped. Maybe more ides will come another time I read it. So freedom is sacrificed for the pursuit.
