With Every Thought of You

Like the ocean waves
we once watched together,
my body too, now crashes,
against those rocks.

Like the mist of air
that caressed our faces as one,
my mind, drifts,
on that ocean breeze.

Like the time we waited for the sunrise
on new years morning,
my skin, lingers,
ready to rediscover your gentle touch.

Like the warmth
that glowed between our love filled eyes,
my heart, melts,
with every thought of you.

Not bad at all. I like some of the poems I encounter because I sometimes find the same emotions I felt in the past. Thank you for making them come back to me. :)

Hi, just to let you know, I’m still around and reading your stuff. I love the artwork you’ve been putting out but I also liked your poetry, this being a good example.
I’ve spent the last few weeks hanging around the Poetry Thursday blog (http://poetrythursday.org/)
and the haiku blog - One Deep Breath (http://www.onebreathpoetry.blogspot.com/) Their weekly writing prompts have helped jump start my writing more again. It’s been a great help. But I always come back to my favs like ‘Zen Moon’ and ‘Graceful Presence’ and a few others, oh, and ‘Glittering Stew’

By the way, has anyone suggested this would make a great song lyric?

Thank you Ron, That means a lot to me. Knowing that I have readers and watchers out there like yourself, it makes me strong and motivates me to continue to write and design. Your feedback is always great and appreciated. I’ll check out those websites. You are the first to suggest that these would make good lyrics, and I agree.

This poem seriously is breath giving. And I think that beats breathtaking by a long shot.
