Albanian Eagle – Inkblot

This piece is titled “Albanian Eagle” from my Inkblot design series. I was inspired to redesign the traditional Albanian Eagle for a Albanian friend of mine who requested that I use my artistic ability to give the Albanian Eagle an extreme makeover. I have made this design available for purchase on tshirts and some printed items at Albanian Spirits.

Nice work, excellent. One comment, however, though not intended as criticism, would be to avoid the Gladiator-ish “Strength and Honor” remark. It doesnt sound that original. ANyway, keep up the good work on all designs. Could u conconct something else up?
ummm it looks beautiful but um you kinda butcherd its wings …that kinda takes of the whole meaning of EAGLE !!
You can have meaning without the wings. It’s up to you to place the meaning.

This is AMAZING! I’m Albanian but I usually don’t like the representation of the Albanian flag because it’s so overdone sometimes, if that makes any sense. This is just so original and mesmerizing in a way. Awesome job

I was also wondering how you did this inkblot as i do art gcse and im trying to do my own version of an albanian flag inkblot however i havent been very successfulin doing so, if you could email me back giving some helpfull tips it would be much appreciated.

Wow thats really creative but i think its a lil to modern stylish and it doesn’t really represent the classic original style. Therefore it remains a nice creative modification but nothing more as all these people are making it seem like.

Ok no doubt that Travis did great job on this design it’s so unique and meaningful yet i think is far accros boundries to compare with the real double headed eagle in our flalg Furthermore I don’t really understand the recomandations to replace the origlinal eagle in the flag with the one that Travis did dudes c’mon lot of martyrs gave their life for the real flag I totaly understand that modifications are acceptable when it comes to peoples tattos but we can’t mess with our (flamurin kombetar) national flag.
To Travis keep up the good work bro I think ur designs wold perfectly fit for tattos.
Flag is something more than passion and desire cuz I personally think that tattos are either desire or passion.

Damn sure Im proud and excited about this art! It has allready become a very known symbol for the albanians. And U see.. more and more people has the same symbol tattoed and painted up the walls, printed on their t-shirts an all that..

I didnt do it on my arm just because its going to be there allt my lite.. and it can easely get old in mye eyes.. bur on my back I dont get to see it so much untill people ask me. so I think its far mor cool on the back!
