I can see multiple meanings in your ending as well. Obviously the one you mentioned, Travis, is there, about the "quality" of poetic speech versus conversational speech. But also it could be read a bit like escapism, like reading (or writing) poetry as a surrogate for personal conversation "in person." Or that the poetry the speaker reads/writes is not just a higher "quality" of speech, but is of greater importance and value. Nice work!
